Total lunar eclipse over North America on January 31, 2018. During a total lunar eclipse, when Earth blocks all direct sunlight, there is still enough refracted sunlight to dimly illuminate the Moon. As this light has been scattered by small molecules present in Earth’s atmosphere, the Moon then appears red to us and is called a blood moon.
For this photograph, a total of nine limited edition prints, all hand signed and numbered, are available as original photo prints under acrylic glass and as canvas prints. Additionally, one artist’s print has been printed.
Prints are available in the following sizes:
- 16 x 12 in (40 x 30 cm)
- 24 x 18 in (80 x 60 cm)
- 48 x 36 in (120 x 90 cm)
