Polar Lights

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, ten thousand rainbows rush into a glorious existence, and fill the celestial arch with their radiance, shifting their positions with the velocity of a sunbeam, blending into a circular halo round the concave of heaven, mounting to the zenith like squadrons of cherubim.
—David Vedder, The Aurora Borealis in Orkney, 1878

I caught the aurora virus on a night flight to Germany when I was lucky enough to see a wonderful display of aurora borealis, the northern lights. Unfortunately they were too fickle and not bright enough to capture from the airplane, but they were wonderful to watch. I knew I would be hunting for them some time soon. I just had to. I went to Yellowknife in Canada’s Northwest Territories in the Spring of 2018, which was an absolutely amazing experience. The photographs below are from this trip.

All pictures in this very special collection are limited editions of nine, hand signed and numbered, and come with a certificate of authenticity.
