Solar Eclipses

Viewed from Earth, Moon and Sun appear about the same size because the Moon makes up for its smaller size by being closer to Earth. When the Moon is on a direct line between Sun and Earth during new moon, the Moon has moved in front of the Sun and a solar eclipse occurs.

Even though solar eclipses occur during every eclipse season somewhere on Earth, they only rarely occur at any given place on Earth. So if you have the chance to observe a solar eclipse, use it as it might take a couple of hundred years for another one to occur where you are!

All pictures in this very special collection are limited editions of nine, hand signed and numbered, and come with a certificate of authenticity. They are available as original photo prints under acrylic glass in different sizes. Some photographs are also available as HD metal and as canvas prints, please see photos for details.
