Solar Eclipse, 2017.
The partial phase of the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 over North America just north of the path of totality. This photo, as all other solar eclipse photos here on this website, has been shot through a special solar filter. Direct sunlight cannot only damage photo equipment, it can also cause serious damage to the human eye. You should therefore never look directly into the Sun without protective eye-wear. Sunglasses will not do, use certified eclipse glasses.
For this photograph, a total of nine limited edition prints, all hand signed and numbered, are available as original photo prints under acrylic glass and as HD metal prints. Additionally, one artist’s print has been printed.
